VitaActive
The VitaActive programme is a simple and effective exercise routine designed to improve muscle strength, support better breathing and sleep, and enhance daily comfort and overall well-being.
The programme is based on myofunctional therapy, which includes targeted exercises to strengthen the muscles of the face, tongue, and throat. These muscles play an important role in chewing, swallowing, speaking, and maintaining clear and steady breathing—especially during sleep.

VitaActive focuses on four key functions:
- Breathing through the nose
- Keeping the lips gently closed
- Maintaining proper tongue posture
- Developing a healthy swallowing pattern
When oropharyngeal muscles are weak, issues such as difficulty eating, speaking, and breathing can arise. Weakness may also lead to snoring or sleep apnea, as the tongue can fall back into the throat and block the airway during sleep.
These problems can have a significant impact on a person’s health and quality of life.
Myofunctional therapy offers a natural, gentle way to retrain and strengthen these muscles, while also helping to improve the habits that affect them.
Is this programme for you?
If you suffer from:
- Chewing difficulties
Ineffective muscle control can make it hard to break down food properly. - Swallowing disorders (dysphagia)
Weak muscles can lead to choking, coughing during meals, or food getting stuck. - Speech problems
Muscle weakness can affect articulation, clarity, and sound production. - Mouth breathing
Difficulty maintaining nasal breathing resulting in breathing through the mouth. - Snoring
Weak throat muscles may cause airway narrowing or collapse during sleep. - Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA)
A weak or floppy tongue can fall back into the throat, blocking the airway and interrupting breathing during sleep. - Poor posture of oral structures
Improper tongue resting position and lip seal can impact dental alignment and facial development, especially in children. - Fatigue and poor sleep quality
Disrupted breathing during sleep can lead to unrestful sleep, daytime tiredness, and concentration issues. - Impaired nasal breathing
When oral muscles are not functioning properly, it can affect natural nasal breathing patterns, resulting in a loud breathing, for example. - Digestive issues
Poor chewing and swallowing can lead to digestion problems, gastric discomfort or even malnourishment.
you can benefit from this programme.

When VitaActive May Not Be Right for You
While VitaActive is designed to be accessible and effective for most people, there are situations where it may not deliver the expected results:
- Lack of Commitment
The program requires consistent participation. If you’re not willing or able to perform the short daily routines three times a day, you may not see the full benefits. - Unrealistic Expectations
This is not a quick fix. Results come from steady effort over time, not from skipping sessions or only engaging occasionally. - Existing Medical Conditions
If you have injuries or chronic conditions like a blocked nose, it’s important to consult your healthcare provider before starting VitaActive.
This program works best for those ready to commit to small, consistent actions each day. If you’re in that mindset, you’re likely to see meaningful results.
